Your Pukekohe weekday, delicious and healthy lunch go-to!
A little about “Gerty” – She is stunning 1972 Citroen H Van, which was imported into New Zealand in 2014 from the UK by a lovely lady in Christchurch who spent a fair amount of time restoring her to her former glory.
She was used in both Christchurch and Wellington selling frozen yoghurt. Holly purchased “Gerty” in August 2020 and has repainted her and given her a new look!
We think she a bit of a tired, slightly overweight chunky French woman, who is a little grumpy!? Not sure…. try driving her!
She’s left hand drive, with suicide doors, column change manual, with no power steering! Not the easiest thing to manoeuvrer, but WE LOVE HER! And we cant wait to show her to everyone!
Hey, I'm Holly!
A little about Holly and how The Daily Goods was born…..
I’m Holly Jansen, a local, born and bred right here in Pukekohe, Franklin.
I’ve been a chef for 20 years now and food is my life! I have an vast array of experience in both New Zealand and London restaurants, bars and cafes.
After selling Town Mouse in 2018 I spent a while thinking about what my next step would be. Pre level 4 lockdown I was thinking of starting another café, when my brother suggested a food truck!
I had previously thought how cool it would be to offer a delivery lunch service providing healthy lunch options to hard working people during the week. Next minute I’m scouring Trade me for food trucks……a few months of throwing ideas around and The Daily goods was born!
I can’t wait to get back into creating fresh, seasonal, sustainable, innovative and healthy food for you all to enjoy!
Meet Taylor Moss...
I’m a well-travelled chef newly returned to New Zealand, after spending 12 years in Europe.
I am passionate about sustainable , locally and ethically sourced products. After acquiring a wide range of experience, working in many styles of kitchens both in New Zealand and overseas. I now find myself returning to my roots in Pukekohe, and applying all my knowledge and skills to The Daily Goods.
I endeavour to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, challenging myself with new projects and delivering Franklin with outstanding food.
Stay tuned for homemade cheese, charcuterie, breads and all things delicious.
Hi from Sophie Boardman!
I have been friends with Holly for years having been to Pukekohe High School, working at The Monarch and travelling parts of Europe together. I am very much looking forward to our next endeavour together at The Daily Goods!
I am a local Pukekohe girl although have been based overseas for sometime now. I started out my career as a Graphic Designer which literally funded my long time hobby and love for horses. Following that, I got into yachting which turned into 7 years of working for the rich and famous as a chef aboard private and charter yachts.
A self taught cook keeping up with foodie trends via the internet, I’ve done several cooking courses in Europe honing in on developing new skills for delivering beautiful presented dish’s to a high standard.
I ended up returning to New Zealand to have my son, Harvey who is now 18 months old and is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I still cook for fussy guests although this one is a bit cuter.
I look forward to helping Holly bring this new venture to life and meeting all you locals!!
